Thanks Nadine! And I know, how funny, how lucky, as I’m sure there must have been some promotion going on to get a crowd there but every speck had passed me by!!!
What a great story, Jackie! I’ve never heard of The Piano tv series so I’d have been equally clueless, but it must have been lovely to just watch the pianists for the joy rather than wondering who was going to win and am I going to be on television.
Thanks Sue! And absolutely, all of that, it never ceases to amaze me the talent that is out there, yet without chance occasions like this, we'd have no idea.
Thanks Martin, so glad it hit the spot! I truly do think that 'investing in a smile' has the potential for great ramifications. The knock on effect of sadness is huge (apart from being, well, too sad...)
Thanks so much, Tali! And yes, pianos across the land! It would be such a tiny expense for the joy it would bring and the knock on effects of that joy...
So envious you stumbled across The Piano!
I know, how often do things like that happen?! If only I’d known at the time 😆 Thanks for reading, Harriet!
Such a shame that you didn’t stay but the story is brilliant 🤩 x
Hehe! I know! If I could turn back the clock (or have a crystal ball!) I’d stag this time!! Thanks Julie, glad you enjoyed the story!
Live this Jackie! I love The Piano and how lucky to stumble across it like that!
...love this...but guess live is also true!
I knew what you meant! And yes, ‘live’ definitely also works!!

And re The Piano, it is definitely worth a watch, Sue. So upbeat, a simple concept and yet huge, definitely life-affirming!
The program is gorgeous, life-affirming and joyful and yes, it was pretty great finding my sister there too ;)
Agreed!!!! And re this post, I'm not sure this is your first rodeo featuring on my substack, is it, big sis??!?
I couldn't possibly say ;)
This is lovely, a life affirming moment, captured beautifully. I particularly like the idea of 'investing in a smile.'

what a gorgeous story! A piano in the middle of a train station is definitely a great way to start the workday.
